Why subscribe?

I studied computer programming and machine learning in the 1980s. In 1991 I applied to the National Endowment for the Humanities to ask whether the human mind is simply an organic machine. The application was not funded. The question outlasted it.

I am an inventor, attorney, and founder. I designed industrial thermal systems now running at NASA Marshall Space Flight Center, Blue Origin, Lockheed Martin, and manufacturers across more than forty industries, and for more than two decades I have built and operated companies with Rosanna Prestia across manufacturing, investment advisory, private investment, real estate, and law. My legal practice covers intellectual property, artificial intelligence, digital assets, and compliance.

The essays are primarily divided into four lanes.

Mind and Belief covers consciousness, substrate, epistemology, and faith.

Systems and Constraints covers bottlenecks, infrastructure, energy, and value.

Ownership and Law covers patents, trade secrets, digital assets, enterprise AI, and evidence.

Human Formation covers writing, memory, agency, and what a person stops becoming when a system does the work that would have formed them.

The subjects change. The question does not.
